I saw her and had two excellent chicken tamales at the Lexington Club on Sunday night. I think she stops by around 11pm. Have fun!

Re: Tamale Lady At The Lexington Club
Sat, April 30, 2005 - 12:52 PMSo, I am on my way home, last night, having just consumed an AMAZING meal at the Osha Thai ( the one in the Mission). I pass the Lexington Club, and there is Virginia, unpacking her car.
I am stymied.
I am full of shrimp and duck and sake and spinach, but…damn…I decide to buy some tamales for breakfast.
Virginia greets me with her usual warm smile, and I request a coupe of pork tamales. She admires the gerbera daisies I have jammed in my bag. “Yeah, I got them from my boss for “Administrative Assistant’s day
“ she smiles/ “They are so beautiful!!” I offer her one. She can’t figure out where to put it, finally picks a pocket on her utility bag.
When she goes back to her car to get a plastic bag for me, I take a moment to pull a few more flowers, some Baby’s Breath and ferns from my bouquet, and arrange a bouquet in her bag. She returns, looking at her newly decorated cart.
“Oh, honey, you made my week! Thank you!!” I laughed, “Oh, no, you made mine!!”
Virginia Rules.
